my hair is curly and i want to get it chemically straightened. but i also would like to lighten it a bit. my hair is dyed dark brown right now, but my natural color is more of a golden brown. i want to get that color back. my question is which one should i do first? Chemically straighten it, or lighten it up? and can i do them both without completely killing my hair...? all answers are appriciated. thanks in advance. please help!

You need to do the straightening first. If you do the color first the straightening process could strip off the color or dull the highlights.
After the straightening, wait 2 weeks and then have the color or highlights done. Be sure to tell the person doing your color/highlights about the straightening so they can be extra gentle. [ maddiec123's advice column | Ask maddiec123 A Question ]
