I'm 13 years old and my main dream is to become a model. I've tried all the modeling websites on how to get started and all asked me for my credit card number.. Nothing seems to be working out at all and I want to get a good head start before I get to old. What do I do now??

But that's only three years away and perhaps if you call certain agencies that specialize in child acting/modeling/etc, you'll get your foot in the door and if you end up auditioning for an extra later on, they may see your name and remember whatever impression you left on them. So before you do anyhting do some research first alot of research! and then hopefully you will find one thats not a scam and fulfill your dream =] hope i helped and good luck =] [ Sami143's advice column | Ask Sami143 A Question ]

Some of your first steps should be to look in the phone book for modeling & talent agencies, or google some in your area. Before you do that, though, you should probably have some photos done so you can start a portfolio. Make sure you get face shots as well as full body shots. Be prepared for rejection, too. As sad as it is, modeling is often a pretty hard profession to get into, because of how strict they can be when it comes to looks & body size. Another important thing to remember is there are tons of different types of modeling, for all different body types & sizes. Decide on whether you want to be a catwalk model, a clothing model, alternative model, swimsuit or underwear model, etc... & do some research on whether you qualify for that based on your body type & looks.
