i like my best friend. yeaaaaah i know, many say its a bad thing but like i really love the kid. the only thing, he had a girlfriend of almost three years, but they just broke things off like two months ago but still hangout and are still close friends which is still heartbreaking because who knows whats going on with them still you know. i just dont know if he likes me back or not. like whenever i bring up a guy he will act like he is not jealous at all and just be like "haha ok" or like someone told him i was going out with this guy and he got reallly mad at me for not telling him AND because he didnt like the kid at all, he was like you better not, oh my god how could you? but it wasnt true at all! i try to be flirty with him and when we're together it's really like a sexual attraction even though we havent done anything yet we flirt ALOT and he always touches me in a way that tells me he wants me. but when i text him sometimes he will be short with me and just be like "lol" or "ok" and it's like okaaaay? but then sometimes he will be all flirty with me when texting. and sometimes we'll be texting and i'll say something and he wont say anything back which makes me feel REALLY stupid. i just don't know what to do. i don't want to confront him about me liking him because i don't even know if he likes me like that and i wouldnt want to ruin our friendship because we're so close.

Firstly whatever him and his ex girlfriend is doing means nothing to you. He is now open and up for grabs. Your grabs that is :) there is countless actions you could take. Here's some...
Option 1:
Just gather up all your guts and confidence and tell him how you feel face to face. This way you will see his reaction and then you guys can talk about it.
Option 2:
Take a pencil and some paper. Now write a letter to him explaining everything you like about him and why and how long you've been having these feelings. The next time you guys' are alone give him the letter and ask him to read it. Then ask what he thinks about what your feelings or whatever.
Option 3:
Take zero action and hope for the best :(

you seem like a replica of me. i had known this guy for seven years, we we're friends, then our friendship grew and grew, then finally, last year i took a hint when he gave me rose scented candles with hearts and roses on them. i told him that i liked him, and ends up he likes me too.
