ok i'm a figure skater and i have skates about like 3 years old and im supposed to be getting new ones but i cant them yet. my feet are KILLING me in these skates! i cant stand the pain anymore. does anyone have any suggestions of what i can do or buy to keep my feet from being hurt. also my feet get really cold and that just makes the pain worse so any ideas at keeping them warm would help alot too. thanks,
love livvvyyyyyyyyyy
you didn't mention blisters, but those are usually a common problem with breaking in skates
if i were you id definitely purchase a pair of these [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
and with that, you slide them farther down so they cover more of your heel/inside of your foot
as for breaking them in faster,
get a pair of hard guards [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
(they look like that)
put those on the blade
then wear your skates around the house for about 15 minutes a day
it makes the breaking in process a lot faster
for keeping your feet warm, they have toe warmers you could also try

It is going to take a couple of months before you fully break into your new skates. Don't skate as much because that just makes it work. If you skate to much, your feet will continue to be soar. If you make it a slow and long process your feet will become acustom to the feeling so they wont hurt when you do into competitions. Also soak your feet in warm water after skating too. Heat soaks the muscles and helps make them stronger as well. [ Advicelady6798's advice column | Ask Advicelady6798 A Question ]

As for keeping them warm, try getting a heat insulating fabric, like under armor socks. That should really make a difference. [ pinkpolkadots's advice column | Ask pinkpolkadots A Question ]
