Well,
of course it's going to be awkward because you barely know anything about each other.
I mean, you may know things about each other but you barely know each other's personalities.
That's most likely what's causing it to be weird.
If you hangout more often and talk more, it will gradually begin to start less awkward and maybe become a really strong friendship.
Who knows?

You'll never know until you try :D

And yes, I know exactly what you mean. I've been there. It goes away, trust me.

Feel free to ask me further questions or update me on how everything goes for you.

-Kayla

i have actully had this happan to me
this kid in one of my classes starts talkin to me on myspace and we got to know eachpther realy well and had amazing conversations but in person we never talked and it would be ackward but now we are realy close and hes one of my bestfriends i can tell him anything and we have no problem talkin in person now
so my advice is that the conversation is only as ackward as you make it
if you laugh and are calm and you justlet go
it will get alot better and you soon will be the best of friends
good luck
:)

Yes I've felt that way many times,

If you two aren't close in class or off the internet it makes it awkward when you come face to face. If you and your friend got to know each other offline then why can't you do the same in real life? I think the awkwardness comes because you two don't communicate enough face to face and you feel more comfortable talking online so whenever you see her it's like "Oh...so......." etc. Try talking to her like you do online, Start a conversatioin about what you normally talk about. etc. Communication is the key and I bet if you two spoke face to face that awkwardness will disappear. ;)

Good luck to you!
