Question Posted Saturday January 24 2009, 3:23 am

best way to say something about a very good friend of mine i've been dating intermitent like one day he acts cold fish the next one we're making out and so on..so what do you people think..i cant easily tell him in person cause we dont hang otu that much on our respective houses we go to the movies very often so its not like im gonna say something like asking were we're standing in the middle of the movie..but if i ask him on msn or soemthing..i think he would be more honest cause you know its easier t o type than to actually articulate the words cause i want to say 3452435 things and i know that in person that i wont be able to do ...so i dont know exactly how can i ask him

You're never going to find out until you ask, and it never hurts to ask. Asking him in person would show more confidence and it would show him that you can have a mature conversation with him face to face. If you feel you truely cannot do it in person then send him an instant message asking him where you two stand. Tell him you want to put a lable on what you have so you know where to go from there. If he doesn't want anything then he's waisting your time and most likely only wants one thing. Or perhaps he's just shy and doesn't know when to make the right move. It's always sexy for girls to make the first move. I did with my boyfriend & thank god I did:) Good Luck!

I know it might be very awkward the first time to come out and say what you're feeling in person, but it might be the best way. I would just tell him that you really want to tell him how you feel and go from there.. even if he gets upset, I'm sure he will get over it. If he doesn't, then that is his loss, not yours. If you still aren't comfortable telling him in person, I would "IM" him or tell him over the phone. Just tell him that you really want to talk about something that has been on your mind for awhile now and ask him if there is something bothering him or if he would like you to leave him alone because you are seeing mixed signals from him.
