A german sheppard mixed with golden retriever... keep snapping?
Question Posted Saturday January 24 2009, 1:43 am
Hi, can yo help me out?
i have a dog, grand size.
He's a sheppard mixed with a golden retriever.
we've had him for almost a month now.
latley i've notice he has been snapping his teeth out in the open for no apparent reason, as if he were snapping for flies, yet there is nothing there.
he's always doing it.
why do you think he does it?
think it's torets or something?
kerry_jeanne answered Saturday January 24 2009, 2:08 pm: I don't think your dog has tourettes syndrome. Some dogs just have extremely strange habits. My bulldog chases shadows as if he wants to eat them and my shih tzu digs to china on my bed. It's all in a dogs nature to do strange things. Take it in and enjoy the humor and entertainment a dog can bring to the table:) Good Luck! [ kerry_jeanne's advice column | Ask kerry_jeanne A Question ]

What he is doing is called fly biting (biting at imaginary flys) Caviler King charels spanies have this habit though it is not restricted to that breed. Victoria Stillwell (form the show on animal planet "It's me or the dog") had an episode where she mentioned it. [ kaitlin1002283's advice column | Ask kaitlin1002283 A Question ]
