Autobiographical Object

Question Posted Wednesday January 21 2009, 9:17 am

I have a paper that I have to write about an object in my life that I can use to help tell my life story [autobiography]. However, I have no idea as to how to even begin this. I was thinking of using my hair and the different ways it has been cut/colored etc in conjunction with my life, but I don't know if that is a good idea or not. So, I need objects ideas etc. Thanks soo much.

oh and by the way the class in eng 111

Actually, I think your hair is a good idea because it is a physical change reflecting the real changes in your life (emotionally, mentally) and each cut represents you at a different stage in your life. This is stereotypical but just as an example, you could have had a "punk phase" with dyed hair to represent your angry teenage middle school years. Then blonde to represent your happy years. I'm just making stuff up but that idea sounds pretty good to me. You could definitely work with that.

hmm it really depends on who you are like if you can write you should write about how writing has affected and helped your life and how it has changed you. I know how you feel english is hard im in english 11 myself but it just is about how you are . You could also write how school or whatever else you can think of has affected your life.Good luck
