writing an essay of why i want to go to the state capitol building

Question Posted Saturday January 10 2009, 7:32 pm

every year my teacher brings two students to the hartford capitol (in connecticut) based on their essay. the topic of the essay is "why do you want to go to the capitol?"

at the capitol, we sit in on meetings and get to ask the representatives questions and stuff.

so can anyone give me any ideas ?
im NOT asking you to write the essay, i just need a few smart points of why this is a good idea to go to the capitol

THANKS A BUNCH

-it will broaden your hoirizon on politics and how the government works
-you want to learn about the culture of how the system work and how they plan to use that to change the world
-you are interested in how they live their lives as politicians, are like us or do they encounter more especially if they do something that doesn't please the people
