theres this guy that i like, and he told me he doesnt like me..i accepted it. but he keeps telling people who dont even know me that i like him..why is he doing this?
lexalovessocks answered Sunday January 11 2009, 7:18 pm: maybe he doesn't like you, okay I get that. But then that doesn't stop him from talking about it. He wants to get attention and he's glad that someone likes him, even if he doesn't like you. I was in an exact situation about April of last year. Well my school band went on a trip to San antonio ( sea worlld and six flags and arcades, ect.) So the first night we got there and went to a big arcade which we rented out. So I liked a guy and he just happened to be in band so I finally told one of my best friends. BIG MISTAKE well (I don't trust her at All anymore but..) I thought She'd be civilized enough to not tell anyone. Sure enough she tells his best friend. Within 5 mins I me telling her he knew, my band teacher knew, everyone knew. Even people I didn't know knew! Long story short he made a huge deal out of it and callled me a hot sexy mama (immature) which made it worse and just completely embarrassed me.
My point, ignore that jerk. When people ask u about it be confident and say "yeah! I do like him do u have a problem with that?" don't let anyone see you discouraged or let them bring you down. Show this jerk that you don't care what he thinks anymore.
Well I hope I helped :)

an_injured_poet answered Sunday January 11 2009, 4:41 am: He's being a total jerk, that's why. Ignore him gurl, completely. An egotistical maniac such as him deserves only your absolute disregard. Pay no heed to his utter thirst for attention. He'll shut up and get tired of it in no time. I have to give you credit though, for accepting well his rebuff. Take it in a positive note, maybe he doesn't like you because deep inside he knows you're too good for him, ;-). [ an_injured_poet's advice column | Ask an_injured_poet A Question ]
kristamikele answered Saturday January 10 2009, 11:31 pm: Apparently he doesn't get a lot of compliments, so he's gotta hang on to the one you gave him for all it's worth. I do have to say, you should probably take it as a compliment. If you weren't pretty he wouldn't be using you to boost his status. Also, consider this conversation:
person you don't know: "Wow, check out that girl, she's hot!"
Guy you like: "Yeah, well good luck, kid, she's all into me." [ kristamikele's advice column | Ask kristamikele A Question ]
itdependsonyoux3 answered Saturday January 10 2009, 7:12 pm: He wants to boost his ego and make people think that alot of girls like him, you just happened to be an example. however, he obviously doesnt get many girls and wants to try to make seem like he does. Some guys also say it so they have something to talk about. its pathetic [what he's doing] and he's just being a jerk and trying to make you feel bad. which you shouldn't. you have no reason to. now you just know that he's being a jerk who needs to quit it. maybe you should say somehting to him, or leave it alone and see if he stops, people will eventually get tired of it and he'll stop, or feel like an ass. either way, you win :]
hope i helped ! xxo good luck [ itdependsonyoux3's advice column | Ask itdependsonyoux3 A Question ]
Just_Ask_Alice answered Saturday January 10 2009, 7:10 pm: He just wants to embarass you. Guys usually do this with this kind of situation. But, try to embarass him instead. THAT WOULD BE FUNNY!-childish but funny. He's being childish anyway so why not? But if you don't want to stoop to his level, the most you can do is just take it and act like it dosn't bother you. It will all stop soon enough [ Just_Ask_Alice's advice column | Ask Just_Ask_Alice A Question ]
