It really just depends on what type of straightener you have.
When I straighten my hair, I blow dry it a little, to get most of the water out, and I let it air dry the rest.
When its dry I partially straighten it, I don't make it perfect.
I sleep on it so it will lay flat to my head the next day.
Then the next morning I straighten it again.
I wouldnt recommend straightening it on a high heat level.
A CHI brand straightener is a good straightener.
Be careful not to frizz your hair.
If it helps, I use heat resistance, it causes less damage, and makes your hair look even healthier.
I suggest VO5 Heat resistance, you can find it at walmart, in the shampoo and conditioner section.
Hope I helped!

Well it doesn't really matter, it's more of what kind of straightener you have. Also from my expirence, I think it is better to straighten it the day after beacuae like it stays straight, well mine does. And plus it gets dirty over night, I know it sounds nasty but it really isn't a bad thing. I striaghten my hair everyday, and so I know.
Hope I helped, Jasmina (: ]
Honestly I have done both, and I dont see much of a difference. For me when I straighten my hair after I get into the shower and dry it, it looks better usually because I have more time, but the day after I usually need to do it before school so I dont have much time. My point being it doesnt really matter.
If you blowdry your hair to dry it after you take a shower, my hair always has more volume, even after I re-straighten it. So if you like the more volumed look, I would blow dry and then straighten.
Good luck, hope this helped :-) ]
