There are only numeric averages, as theymos has provided links to.
Besides, theres more than just age.
At 24, you might have been active for less than a year or more than a decade. Thats going to change the number. Where you grew up, your family, your school, etc.
Asking this means you're insecure about your number. I'm guessing you feel you're on the low side (as few people with high numbers are worried about not being normal, no offense intended). You really shouldn't be worried about that. A high number doesn't mean anything good. Increased chance for VD and some very unpleasant memories (one night stands and drunken hook ups aren't glamorous in hindsight. ) [ WittyUsernameHere's advice column | Ask WittyUsernameHere A Question ]

solidadvice4teens answered Tuesday December 30 2008, 6:57 pm: There is NO normal number before 24 or 18 or whatever age. Everyone has different experiences and has sex at different stages with different number of partners. It's not a competition like some people seem to think it is.
So whether your partners have been 0-5 it's fine. It's about healthy choices, decisions etc. However, be responsible and reasonable if you're having sex at random and often re-evaluate that as it's trouble for STDs etc. Personally I think any number higher than 5 is a lot. But there's no set normal age. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]
