I haven't read "A Midsummer Night's Dream" myself but SparkNotes is perfect for that kind of symbolism and imagery. If you've also read "Romeo and Juliet", you can compare them because Shakespeare wrote those plays in the lyrical period of his career as a playwright, along with Richard II.
Hope that helps!

well...you could analyse the feelings of the characters and why the characters feel the way they feel. For example: Hermia is very deeply in love with Lysander. Once Puck sprinkles the love potion on the wrong person, Lysander is all of a sudden in love with Helena. As a result, Hermia is now confused;out of nowhere her new fiance is in love with her best friend and will openly speak about it, upset; Lysander is no longer in love with her-she feels as if she has been smacked in the face and can do nothing about it, and she is jealous; she is very self concious about how short she is and think the boys only love Helena because Helena is taller.

This is only one (bad) example but it is an idea. I'm not exactly sure is this is what you asked for but this is what i gave you. Good luck and get it done before the Holidays.
