I've failed 9th grade so I'm in my second year of it. I'm currently taking
health and pe 9, english 9, intro to design I, world history and geography part II, biology, and geometry. I know FOR SURE that I want to be a psychologist. I just hope I turn out to actually be one!
But I was wondering what classes I should take next year? I definitely want to sign up for psychology I.
Any psychology related courses would be good. Sociology classes would be helpful, too. Other than that, you can do is speak with your guidance councilor. If you tell them what career you want, your councilor should know exactly which classes to take.
What you may have to do your senior year is take a few classes at a junior college. Most of those credits would transfer over, and you could even possibly begin college having as many credits as a second semester sophomore. I'm not sure if they just offer that where I live, but I'm pretty sure high school seniors can take up to 2 classes per semester at a community college. At my high school, juniors were allowed to do the same.
That way you can get a feel for college classes, for the major you want (psych), and you can earn up some credits for when you go to college.
As for high school courses, like I said, we don't know what is offered at your school, but your guidance councilor does. Speak with your councilor, and he/she should be able to help with your schedule. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
