Miserable/Depressed

Question Posted Wednesday December 3 2008, 9:09 am

I feel so sad, sometimes I am in bed and I just start crying. I feel like the only thing I have to look forward to is my boyfriend. My dad left us a year ago and now he still tries to contact me and come back but I don't need no more drama in my life its best if he stays away! My sister is moving out. Me and my mom are not financially stable. I hate my job. I am trying to apply to school but there are some things in my way. I need to know how to fix this feeling. How do i wake up and feel good. I wake up with no motivation, no happiness. I wake up and I think "Great I have to go to work again and I wont be seeing my bf for another 3 days" What do I do, please help me I don't want to feel depressed!

I know how you feel because my friend is going through something similar to your situation and being a close friend its hard to see her like this. In school, she would have crying spasms and seperate herself from the rest of the crowd. Her boyfriend was one of the only things she found to be a comfort in her life. The reason why you feel you have to look forward to your boyfriend is that he's the only one there that can comfort you throughout a time like this. You don't have a strong parental figure in your life. Maybe you should try to seek a counselor who can actively help you. School is definitely something you should be thinking about. You cannot get a stable job without an education. There are a lot of questions I wish I could ask you when dealing with this. Is it possible for you to reconnect with your dad? Maybe it might help you feel a little better knowing that you have a father figure to look up to. But see, I don't know what happened between you two. Get rid of the things in your way to start school. You'll meet new people and get different perspectives from them. Hope I've somewhat helped. I'm open if you'd like to share more. I'd be glad to give you further advice.

Try working out, or doing something physical like dancing
Activities like that can really help get feelings and emotions out in a heathy way. also eatting right has a huge effect on your attitude, giving your body good food makes it feel good
Also make sure you get sleep.

Crying alot is normal, your body is reacting to the mental stress.. working out should help this
Explain to your dad that now is not the time to be trying to come in your life, tell him to give you time to sort things out and maybe in a while you can deal with that
Make sure you stay in touch with your sister
Try just looking around for other jobs, you never know what you'll find
And trick you can use about your boyfriend is to think about it in an excited way, "ohh i can't wait to see my b.f in 3 days"

i really hope things turn around for you!
good luck and keep going
