Is there anyway that I can get pregnant from dry sex?
Question Posted Sunday November 16 2008, 6:33 pm
Okay, so my boyfriend wants to have sex with me, and I do too but im not going to because i don't want to get pregnant. So we agreed on dry sex (sex but with udnies on) ha. but anyways is there anyway that I can get pregnant? Or anything that I should look out for?
ashleycandigit answered Wednesday November 19 2008, 2:03 pm: not wanting to have sex is a good decision, especially because you realize that you are not ready to have a baby yet. but having "dry sex" still could be dangerous, because the material that underwear is made out of can allow his semen to leak through. if you're going to do it through your underwear you might as well be safer and use a latex condom because they help prevent diseases and pregnancy. However, you should ALWAYS make sure the condom you use is new from a fresh pack (check out the expiration date on the box) and check each individual condom wrapper to make sure there are no holes or tears in the wrapper which could make the condom ineffective to prevent pregnancy and transmission of STDs. Also remember, CONDOMS DO BREAK sometimes so if you really want to prevent pregnancy, you should abstain from sex all together or talk to your OB/GYN or health care professional about other forms of birth control to use with condoms.
