prenatal vitamin dose My eleven year old sister bought prenatal vitamins for her hair. She wants to know how many she should take. It said on the bottle that four of those pills equals to the full dose. Also she wants to know if she buys biotin and folic acid bottles if it would work the same and if she could use a multi vitamin with it.

If she's only taking these for her hair then she definitely shouldn't take the full dose. It will make her sick. The full dose is recommended for people who are pregnant. I would take the multi vitamin with it but nothing else. she's too young to be filling herself with too much of that crap. I know that they say that it's good for you but too much of it isn't. I would tell her to take 1 prenatal a day or every other day and a multivitamin every day. ]
If your sister is taking the vitamins to make her hair grow better, regular multivitamins will do.
Check the bottle to see the specific quantity of vitamins in each pill, because if the vitamins are sold as prenatal vitamins, the instructions on the bottle are probably aimed at pregnant women, and at 11 years old, your sister will need a lower dosage.
