"Gotta go take this!" "Uhh.. I'm the one calling"

Question Posted Tuesday November 4 2008, 2:47 pm

Lol. Ok. Most of you should enjoy this..

I'm talking to the boy I like when he asks me for my number, and I give it to him, and then I want to leave before the conversation starts dragging on, so when my phone starts to vibrate I see my way out and say "sorry, I have to take this, so see ya later" I hear him say "you're ridiculous" while walking away.. but don't think much of it. Once I get to my room I try to call the number back, cause it wasnt listed in my phone book when it hits me -- HE WAS THE ONE CALLING ME SO I WOULD HAVE HIS NUMBER.

How embarrassing is that? What would you think if you were him? And what's the best thing to do.. try to explain or pretend it ever happened?

Silly, I know. But I didnt ruin my chances, did I?

Nah, you didn't ruin your chances. It was cute. Just play it off as adorably confuzzled.

It WAS adorable.

But ya got to call him, or text him, or connect with him at some point so you can quickly play it off as a funny goof. If you wait too long, it will just get more awkward.

No, I don't think that you completely ruined your chances. Don't lie to him. Tell him that you didn't know who is was, sill you, and you thought it would be rude to take a call while you were talking to him. Tell him you wanted to wrap the conversation up because it might've been someone that really needed to talk to you. =DD

Silly you.

well you could tell him that you thought it was your doctors number calling back or something and you didn't know what the number was so you thought it was that.

orr

you can just be honest and say that you didn't want the conversation to drag but you really do like him.

=)

oh wow. reading this just made my heart stop. if i were you i think i would try to pretend it never happend but if he brings it up just tell him you weren't thinking and if he doesn't bring it up completely he just gives hints to let you know he remembers just laugh it off because at this point there is nothing you can do. try texting him and if he replies back well then i think everything will be okay and if not there are a million other fish in the sea.

P.S. i will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Thanks and remember to come back for more advice.
