i heard that you can get std's from using other people's lipstick and lip gloss. Is that true because i used one of my friends and then someone told me that i could now have an atd and that is not good because i am only 16.
That being said, it probably best not to
use other peoples cosmetics. You can spread
an eye infection from sharing mascara too.
You can get spread head lice (if one has
them) from sharing combs and brushes. Not
life threatening but not a pleasant
experience either. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

Example: if a friend of yours cuts her hand and you help her clean it up and you have a cut on your hand and her blood gets into your cut.. jean_nicole answered Saturday October 25 2008, 11:45 pm: The only way you could have an std from using someones chapstick is if they have cold sores. And really cold sores are not a std but it is a form of herpies.
And the only way for that form of herpies to turn into an std is if you have a cold sore, give someone oral sex and it turning into genital herpies on them and then them giving it back to you.
So its very hard to get an std from using chapstick but not mouth sores and such so buy your own. [ jean_nicole's advice column | Ask jean_nicole A Question ]
michelle823 answered Saturday October 25 2008, 9:00 pm: the only way thats possible is if she had a cut on her lip and she applied it directly on the cut, and if you had a cut on your lip and you put the lipstick/gloss directly on your cut.
theres a very slim chance that would happen so i say dont worry about it. =]
but if you are you can go to the doctor and get checked out, just in case! =]
hope i helped! [ michelle823's advice column | Ask michelle823 A Question ]
