I love the clique books, don't get me wrong. But I feel like there trying to tell everyone to stay away from boys. They act like it's so difficult to talk to them. ALso, it seems like there comming off as the type who can do anything and thats not how life works. I've only read everything through bratfest at tiffany's DON"T SPILL ANYTHING FROM THE SUMMER NOVELS!
But then I, like you, realized they were pretty lame. I do agree that it makes boys sound like some sort of mutant monsters who girls could and should never talk to [when it's really the opposite]. Sorry if that sounds rude, but it's my honest opinion.
