best friend. . .or not?
ok, so within the past year 1/2 i've become best friends with this kid Chris. lately, we've been talking everyday on the comp. and every night on the phone. however, yesterday a girl from my school IMed me and asked me if i liked him because someone told her i did. but i told her i like him as a friend. . .then I told him what happened, and all he said was "oh"...but now he's been saying he has to go a lot, and he hasn't called me, and he gives me 1 word answers, or none at all. but he has a GIRLFRIEND who he does not talk about. so im not sure if he likes me or not. and it's been on my mind since it happened, so i don't know if i like him too.
but his friend (& my friend) likes me too...
maybe he feels awkward about it?
maybe i shouldn't have told him?
maybe he likes me?
idk. help!

I would just apoligise for bringing it up.
Be like I didn't know that it would cause an issue between us and I'm sorry... and see what he says. If you never thought you liked him before someone mentioned that you did then you probably don't like him, ust the idea of dating.
Which doesnt sound far to him at all.
Well just see what he says, and if you figure out you do like him make sure you mention the friend that likes you and suttely tell Chris that your not interested in this kid.
Just say sorry and see where it goes.

The way most guys minds work is that they get close to girls as friends but wanting more then a friendship. I don't think you should have told him because now he thinks he has no chance to get with you. You might have hurt his feelings, so maybe you could try talking to him and saying sorry, or even just ask him why he has been avoiding you.

my oppion on this means that he likes you thats why he is actingall distant because he knows that you don't feel the same way bout him. and it might make him sad so he is tryign to stay away to not htink bout it. but knowing that he has a girlfriend makes it a little bit werid. and cahnges everything around. i still think he likes you and knowing that he doesn't tlak bout his gf much might mean that he might not like her that much or somthign like that. but things that are on your mind like this, kinda tell you somthing too. you might like him because you think about this sicne it happened but i dont' knwo whta to tell you. Just listen to yourself and do waht you think is best. but i honestly think tha he likes you and you scared him away. so i'm sorry if you lost a good friend to you. but all you need to do is talk to him and tell him waht is going on. When you told him what you said to the girl about liking him as only a friend, he might of got his feelings hurt. If I was you, I wouldn't waste any time with this guy. If he has a girlfriend and is spending a lot of his time talking to another girl (you), then what makes you think he wouldn't do that to you if you were dating him? He just doesn't sound like a good person to have a relationship with. But, if you insist then let him know you only said that because you didn't want his girlfriend to know that you liked him. He might of got his hopes up for nothing when you told him that you said you liked him as a 'friend'. Good luck!
