ok, so within the past year 1/2 i've become best friends with this kid Chris. lately, we've been talking everyday on the comp. and every night on the phone. however, yesterday a girl from my school IMed me and asked me if i liked him because someone told her i did. but i told her i like him as a friend. . .then I told him what happened, and all he said was "oh"...but now he's been saying he has to go a lot, and he hasn't called me, and he gives me 1 word answers, or none at all. but he has a GIRLFRIEND who he does not talk about. so im not sure if he likes me or not. and it's been on my mind since it happened, so i don't know if i like him too.
but his friend (& my friend) likes me too...
maybe he feels awkward about it?
maybe i shouldn't have told him?
maybe he likes me?
idk. help! (link)

The way most guys minds work is that they get close to girls as friends but wanting more then a friendship. I don't think you should have told him because now he thinks he has no chance to get with you. You might have hurt his feelings, so maybe you could try talking to him and saying sorry, or even just ask him why he has been avoiding you.

I sit beside a guy, Alex, in a class at school. Many girls are jealous of me and for the last year (during junior year - now we are seniors) they have been saying horrible things about me to get Alex & his friends to dislike me. I`m not sure if it has worked or not, but I would like him to have an undeniable attraction to me so that he does not listen to what the other girls say.
I`m smart, I look good, & I try to be nice & interesting - but what else can I do? I do not have any attraction to Alex, it`s actually his friend I`m interested in. Plus Alex has a girlfriend (who absolutely hates me - not that she knows me, I`m just a threat I suppose). Is there a way to trick Alex into blocking out what the girls say about me? I need Alex to get to know me for who I really am (rather than what he has heard) so we can get along; then I can get to know his friend better. (link)

You should try hanging out with him out side of class or even school if you can and maybe bring up some of the stuff that you know was said to him by the other girls. I know that high school can be drama but the girls that are talking about you are just jealous of you.

the past month i've been talking to this boy who i really do like but everyone says hes no good for me. i can see where their all coming from because all he does all day is smoke weed and hang out in the streets. i dont know if i should just let him go and stop talking to him. i would feel so bad if i did that though because he is faithful to me unlike all the other past relationships i've been in. i have talked to him about it before but he just doesn't want to stop smoking. If he really wants to start a relationship with you then he will be willing to change for you. If him smoking week really bothers you then you should stop talking to him
