Attraction

Question Posted Sunday September 7 2008, 5:00 pm

17/f

I sit beside a guy, Alex, in a class at school. Many girls are jealous of me and for the last year (during junior year - now we are seniors) they have been saying horrible things about me to get Alex & his friends to dislike me. I`m not sure if it has worked or not, but I would like him to have an undeniable attraction to me so that he does not listen to what the other girls say.

I`m smart, I look good, & I try to be nice & interesting - but what else can I do? I do not have any attraction to Alex, it`s actually his friend I`m interested in. Plus Alex has a girlfriend (who absolutely hates me - not that she knows me, I`m just a threat I suppose). Is there a way to trick Alex into blocking out what the girls say about me? I need Alex to get to know me for who I really am (rather than what he has heard) so we can get along; then I can get to know his friend better.

You should try hanging out with him out side of class or even school if you can and maybe bring up some of the stuff that you know was said to him by the other girls. I know that high school can be drama but the girls that are talking about you are just jealous of you.

Well, tricking him will never do any good. Just show him who you really are and just pretend like you know nothing about what people have been saying. If he's a nice kid then he should just look past all of those nasty rumors and such.

However, why not just talk to his friend instead? I suppose I can understand why, if you don't have any classes with him or anything.
