Why do I want a boyfriend? Okay well I am 15/f an I have an small problem. It's like every time I meet or hear about an interesting guy who is into what I like, I automatically like the guy without really knowing him. I wish I could save the crushing for after we become friends not before. Today in my second day of school I met this guy: very friendly, same musical interests, kinda shy, and really cute. So all of a sudden I am starting to develop feelings for him. When I met him I feel like I was stuttering and kinda embarrassed myself. I just have a huge problem with showing people who I really am. I feel like only 2 people really understand me completely. I have had problems with making friends and I want to learn how to properly express myself. Thank you to anyone who can help in any way!

let me ask you something, do you just want a boyfriend? And how was your past relationships did they go so well that you mare of them or did the burn you and now you want to feel a good one? These are the starting problems of wanting relationships without knowing the guy. first when you know than it will be alot easier to talk to him and show him the real you. but for the crushing before you know him that is just because of your past feelings i would say. ]
I do that whenever I meet a new guy, too. I think it's because when you are around the same old guys there is no potential and you know what is there and what isn't. When you meet a new guy, the possibilities of who he could be and what he could be for you in the future opens up and it's rather exciting. The exciting part being not knowing exactly who he is, but thinking maybe he's the one I've been looking for and waiting for. You get what I mean or am I just blabbering on?
Now I'm not quite so sure about the expressing yourself part too much and that's mainly because I don't know who you are and what you've been through or what you haven't been through. You need to honestly question yourself about why you don't show your true self to only a couple people. There's usually a reason behind it. Maybe you are just insecure-and in that case you should better your confidence and such in order to feel more secure-or maybe you have been hurt in the past and now you don't trust people with your true self. There are a myriad of reasons why some people hide who they are, but one important thing is to make sure that you don't hide who you are and you figure out why you are hiding and how you can fix it. It's not something that can be told through instructions; only you can truly find out why you hide yourself and don't properly express yourself and how you can fix it. (Now I know this sounds lame but self-confidence books really do help. I read a few chapters from one once and I've never been the same insecure person since. Perhaps if you go to the library and look at the section on self-help-there's no shame in looking for advice from a book.) ]
