2)Its better to keep pets like cats inside as a indoor cat and taking them outside on a leish if they are not to afraid.
christina answered Friday June 26 2009, 7:02 am: Instead of trying to just "get over it," I would go try & find your cat. Put up signs, put ads in the newspaper, maybe even have them broadcast it on the news (yes, some people really do that).
I would give it a while. If no one replies to your ads or signs, I would try to move on, but still keep a little bit of hope. Just try hard to find your cat before you completely give up on this.

They actually say cats have a sense of where their home is. Most instances they'll come back soon if they're in need of water or food. This is true. My old cat was an outdoor cat, and she would remember where she lived and came back. How else would you think they'd come back?
An indoor cat is a bit different but they still have an idea of where they live.
