hopeless???

Question Posted Tuesday August 12 2008, 1:09 am

ok so im trying to decide what to major in, for college. I am really intested in animals, and would really like to major in animal sciences such as; wildlife conservation, veterinariay med, and other related things. The problem is that I'm not very good when it comes to science. I took biology freshman year and got a B, but i have trouble in this subject and I am afraid that if I major in these topics i will struggle all through out college maybe even flunk out. This really is the only topics i am intested in... is it a hopeless cause to try and major in one one these subjects???

Nothing is hopeless. As long as you work hard and have a passion for animals that's all you need. If you struggle with science it will be harder but you can get extra help and tutoring to help you with it.

Don't let fear keep you from doing what you love. There's no way to flunk out as long as you work hard and get help when it's needed. If you don't put the effort in or spend all your time socializing you'll flunk. If you work hard at the things you aren't good at you'll soon excel at them.

If you earned a B in biology that should show you that you do understand science and can do well in it. What you need to do is consult with the program head at the college you want to go to about your fears and concerns regarding science. They'll help you find ways to make things easier or provide resources and tutoring if a learning issue arises.

You could major in them and work your butt off. If you really want this, you can do it.

You could major in them and if trouble arises, get a tutor to help you.
