allergies-->making out

Question Posted Thursday July 31 2008, 8:10 pm

16/F
hi!! i have a SEVERRRE allergy to dairy. its exactly like people who are allergic to peanuts and other nuts, but just with dairy.
so if im with my boyfriend and he had, lets say, popcorn with butter or cheese either earlier that day or even on our date and then we make out, will i get a reaction?? (remember the one story of the girl with the nut allergy who kissed her bf who had nut butter for lunch and she dies cuz of it??)

i just don't want to get sick/die or anything from kissing my dairy ridden boyfriend. HELP!!
thanks!!!!!<3

well, the worst that can happen is that you'll get a reaction. but make sure that you rinse your mouth out right after so it doesnt stay in there. the girl prolly died because she didnt realize it and it stayed in tehre too long so.... ya.
good luck!!

No one on here can really answer this. But heres what I would say: Everyone is different and it depends if you are able to have dairy touch your lips, or if you will instantly react to any kind of dairy contact. I doubt that it will, but just to be on the safe side I would reccomend asking a doctor about this because only he/she (a professional) will really know based on how easy YOU react to dairy.
