i need a job

Question Posted Monday July 28 2008, 7:24 pm

I'm 16 and have never had a job before.
I need a good job, nothing fancy. But something that can work around school. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also i know its kinda a lot to ask but not work really late hours. I think that i need to really help my mom out with the bills. Or just pay for my own stuff myself.
Help!

I know a few sites that will pay you to take surveys and it doesnt cost anytihng to sign up. it does take a few weeks for your checks to arrive, but its quick and simple.

Just try doing jobs that people hate to do.
Such as:
baby sitting.
car washing.
house cleaning.
lawn mowing.
dog walking.
weed eating.
raking leaves..
just simple stuff.

hope I helped.

You don't need to get a job at a big chain. In fact, most of them don't hire until you're at least 16.

You can do simple jobs like babysitting for friends and family. [You can charge more for more kids the more troublesome they are]
Walk dogs of friends. [The more dogs at once the more money you get! ;)]
Mow lawns in the summer.
Rack leaves in the fall.
Shovel snow in the winter.
All jobs people hate. =]
Get homemade fliers and put them around the neighborhood.
For old people give them the fliers. They are old and can't go far =].

And I've used this answer before, and someone said that they were "child jobs", but really, if you're making money, does it matter WHAT you're doing? The jobs above are really simple =].

At least in California, minors (those under 18) can't work past 11:00pm or exceed 20-some odd hours.

Usually grocery stores or movie theatres or sales work around your school if you mention it in the interview.

cheers,
