well yeah it does depend on the store you get it from. i got mine for $120 it's the one-inch one and i've been using it for over four years, and it's the best hair straightener out there. i don't think that anyone can tell you what would be the best for you because it depends on your hair. like for me, i have naturally reasonably straight hair, so it takes me about like 2 minutes to straighten my hair and i pretty much do it every other day. i do not think you'll get it for less than $100 :/

Instead, may I reccomend the Conair Infiniti Nano Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Straightener. it's cheap and works wonders. MUCH better than my old chi and much cheaper. I bought mine online here:
