period problems

Question Posted Saturday July 26 2008, 5:20 pm

ok i had my first period 3 years ago on my birthday and it was heavy and somewhat long, i had it again exactly a year later about. now it comes every few months and i never know when its gonna come every time i do have it, i get super moody, its heavy and it lasts a few good days. i need to know a way to make it regular so i don't have to always wonder when its going to come. my mom suggested birth control, but i never know if i can take it at the same time every day because i have a horrible memory about stuff like pills and other kinds of medicine. any advice about any way to keep my period regular??

you should talk to your doctor about birth control. it will help the pain and keep it regular. im horrible about remembering things as well so i always take my birth control right before i go to bed. or you can set a timer on your phone and eventually you will get used to it

my sister had a problem similar to yours, she takes Yaz now and hers lasts about 3 days, is very light and is on time everymonth.
personally i think talking to a doctor about this is a must, you don't want to be taking pills without knowing more about them

well you cant make your period regular but you can get a birth control shot and that last a long time its like from a year to 5 years its crazy but it works now its not gonna give you a regular period (depending on the kind) but usally it will take away your period completly. you should ask your doctor to see whats available
