you could:
-babysit
-pet sit
-ask your parents if they will pay you to do housework
-mow your lawn
-mow your neighbors lawn
-shovel snow/rake leaves (in the winter&fall)

This way they know that you are actually taking the initiative to MAKE the money instead of having it handed to you. A lot of times parents feel that their kids will take advantage of them if they just give you money. If you earn the money, then you can prove to them that not only are you responsible, but that you are also going to spend more wisely knowing that you have to work for it. Good luck girl and I hope that they work with you on this!!!
askme537 answered Wednesday July 23 2008, 7:49 pm: Well I had the same problem, so I made a deal with my parents that I would get 10 dollars a week for helping around the house. I do dishes and clean the kitchen and keep my room clean.
I also babysit for 8 dollars an hour, and that usually makes some good money.

My mom says that if I get them all ready to go I can keep the money. You don't get much, but it's something (: [ ADDiCT3DTOHiMx's advice column | Ask ADDiCT3DTOHiMx A Question ]
