Okay, so two of my friends, lets call them Maddy and Jenny, have been getting into a lot of fights lately about the dumbest things you can imagine (once they got into a fight because Jenny wouldn't share her chips). Everytime they fight, they drage my other friends, lets call them Tya and Linda, and me into their fights. Then, when we refuse to take a side, they somehow manage to twist our words for them. This fighting is really getting in between our group, what should we do?
By the way, I'm 13, a girl, and going into the 8th grade.
anyway okay i hate when friends drag me into a fight. I think you should
1. talk to them tell them how you feel. you want to still be friends with them you wish they would stop fighting and pulling you into it! (and Tya and Linda)
2. Make a plan with Tya and Linda that you would never say anything bad about them and tell them to pay attention to what Maddy and Jenny say about you. Explain to Tya and Linda that maddy and jenny are twisting their words around. You never know when Jenny or Maddy could make Tya or Linda turn on you just to get them on Jenny or Maddy's side.
3. I think you guys all should just sit down and talk about it. You're going to be in 8th grade and you should be able to figure it out. I lost a lot of my friends to not talking about it and fighting online and saying things about each other behind their backs etc. during the first few weeks of 8th grade! Communication is the key to everything.
If you lose them, then oh well.
Then they weren't great friends to being with.
After highschool your gonna realize who your true friends are.
I graduated 3 weeks ago..and I already found who my true friends were.
