I love the show, The Search for the Next Elle Woods, but why is Laura Bell Bundy stopping being Elle?

superstarblue89 answered Tuesday July 15 2008, 6:45 pm:
In broadway, just like television shows the actors work on a contract. Her contract is up. Some broadway actors have the chance to renew their contract, but many of them do not because they want to bring new people in or the original actors have new projects they are working on. Laura Bell Bundy is leaving broadway to move to nashville to work on her second solo country album. This and contract reasons are why she is not continuing her role.
