Continuing to do this, can cause you stomache problems becase when you don't eat anything and you puke, you're just puking up the lining in your stomach, which IS NOT GOOD. It makes you pale and have bags under your eyes real bad. You start looking like a ghost with racoon eyes. It's really a disgusting thing to do & I would let your friend know that it doesn't help. Eating right & excersize is the only way to go. ♥ [ LiLMAMAx's advice column | Ask LiLMAMAx A Question ]
LOL_x0x answered Thursday July 10 2008, 2:46 pm: There are no "ups."
It's a terrible thing to do and it's much more serious than you think.
Here are a few consequences of making yourself throw up:
- Loss of vital minerals
- Metabolic disturbances
- Erosion and discoloration of tooth enamel from stomach acid
- Tooth decay, gum disease, mouth ulcers
- Inflamed glands resulting in a "chipmunk" or "moon" face
- Impaired mental functioning
- Lowered resistance to infections
- Severe muscle spasms
- Esophagus damage
- Permanent organ damage
- Heart attack
So as you can see, I'm not kidding when I say there are no "ups." If you or your "friend" is making yourself throw up [also known as bulimia] you need to get help.
