So it is serious, but if you haven't been underweight for long then its not as scary.
Go to your doctor, and ask to see a nutritionist who can advise you on what is best to eat to put on weight healthily, and to decide a target weight for you. Your doctor will also be able to check you out for problems associated with low weight.

I think if you explain to her that you aren't bulimic but being so underweight worries you, she'll believe you and she'll help you out. It would be a good idea to schedule an appointment with a doctor- there might be a problem with you that's not allowing your body to digest your food or something, which could lead to severe weight loss (such a thing happened to me several years ago- I lost 20 lbs. way too fast, when I was already rather thin). Your doctor should be able to help you out if it's a problem with your body. However, it could be a simple problem of not eating enough, for any reason. In that case, you obviously need to eat more- but not all junk food, because it's not healthy for you to pig out on junk even if you're really thin. I'm sure you and your mom could work out a diet plan to make you healthier. Hope I helped! C:
