oXoCutiex6 answered Monday July 7 2008, 11:31 pm: You need to just talk to her- next time she picks up a drink (the first one) say please don't drink & then she'll ask and so forth.
you need to explaint o her your fears, everything. you can't hide
don't be afraid of her being mad- becuase you could save her life.
if you think she has a problem go to a local aa group.
my dad goes to them, he actualy runs one now..its changed his life
thep eoplethere are nice, adn don't judge, even offer to go with her... just to "test the waters"
if you need someone to talk to- or a friend or you need some more questions or you'd like to folllow up with me & let me give you more advice after you've talked ot yuor mom (if you listen to my advice)
laynemayhem answered Monday July 7 2008, 10:42 pm: you arent the only one. you have an alcoholic parent and there are these places where kids like you can go and talk to other people about it. obviously, you cant sit your mom down and talk about it because she wont admit she has a problem. alcoholics never do. just go to your local church or whatever and ask about youth groups or search up "kids with alcoholic parents youth groups" or something along those lines. or just go talk to a counselor.
sorry i couldnt be of any more help, but i have no clue where you live and i dont know your lifestyle or anything. im really sorry you have to deal with that. my friend goes through the same exact thing and i never know what to say to her. :(
