New York University What is the criteria for getting into NYU? What grades do you need to have, classes to take, etc.

A good place to look is www.collegeboard.com yeah you have to create an account but when you go into the favorite schools and stuff you can input your classes you took in highschool and stuff and you can figure out where you stand for the schools that you want to go to. ]
In general, a good place to start when considering a University is their website. NYU's site is:

From there you can research admission requirements and courses. You can see right from the school what they're looking for in applicants.
Also, if you live in NY then I would reccomend trying to get their guidebook. You can also get this at uni/college fairs which some schools hold.
The following is also a good website:

The person below gave you avg. GPAs.
The reaserach I did said the following for high school things:
High School Preparation
High School diploma required, GED accepted
Required units: 16 total
English 4
Foreign Language 2
History 4
Math 3
Science 3
Science Lab 2
Recommended units:
Foreign Language 3
Math 4
Keep in mind that the classes you need to take vary greatly depending on what department you apply for. For example, if you are going to go to NYU to study Theatre you will want to have taken theatre in high school. Whereas if you want to go for the sciences, you will want to have taken more science/math courses. Many University sites/guidebooks have specific requirements for different departments.
I hope I helped you.
Good Luck with your research. ]
