poem i need to write a poem for my english class asap. it was due a long time ago but my teacher is letting me do it and give it to her to raise my grade. it needs to be about what its like to be an inatimate object. i kinda wanted to do it about the sun but i am open to anything. the only major thing is it would be good for it to rhyme and not be too cliche. an example my teacher gave us is "i am a rock" by paul simon: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

"Feel my warmth upon your skin,
You haven't a choice but to let my rays in.
I am the thing that allows you to live;
I am the entity that allows the earth to give.
I am eternal, though my end is your end.
Still in my end I can begin again."
Something like that would probably be good for you. I don't like your teacher's assignment though. ^_^
I used to rock the English class when I was in school. ]
you could say things like " i am the sun, i shine all the time, i provide light for millions, without me the world might not exist, but at the same time i will also end the worlds existence."
i don't know if thats good. ]
