Not trying to be rude or anything, but you may want to learn proper grammar and English in general. It doesn't matter if you're using slang because it's online. What you do now will greatly impact how you write, and right now, your writing doesn't look so hot.

As for the writing, there is no "pathway" set to get people going. Writing for me is like my life (I know, corny but true). I can't have people tell me how to write and what to write. Writing is something that is unique to each individual. If you learn how to write from someone else, you're taking away your individuality. Sure, maybe you can get feed backs for constructive criticism to see how you can improve, but learning to write is a long process.

As for getting your own story, I recommend that you get a notebook to write down story ideas or poem ideas or anything. Write down characters you may want to use, names you like & their meanings, etc. Anything that will help you with what you want to write.

You need to learn by yourself what you want to write and how you want to write it and you choose how you want it to play out and how you'll convey what you want to write. If there is someone by your side saying "Write this," "Have him do that," "Have that happen," etc., it's not your work but your buddy's work.

Writing is a way to express one's beliefs and thoughts and feelings. Another can't tell you what to write or how to write. It's a love for words and how the words can mean that usually are insignificant in life. If you want to write only because it's the "cool" thing or because you want to impress someone, walk away right now.

As for the manga thing, why don't you team up with someone who likes to write & has a lot of ideas and you can aid with the drawing?

There is a site called storywrite.com
I suggest you visit and join the site because it's where writers of every genre, age, location, etc. come together an put their works online. Other users will read your stories and give you good comments that will help with improving your writings. Also, there are contests on there that you can definitely use to get an idea of what you want to write especially if you have a writer's block.

You can find me on there so if you decide to join, give me your username or something so I can add you and read your works =)

Good luck

15/f
Emily

You can start by learning how to spell mystery and capitalizing your words. Join a creative writing class in school. Set up goals and write five pages per day. Try to get rid of internet talk COMPLETELY. Don't shorten your words with numbers and get rid of all leet talk (internet abbreviations). Read books. Any kind of books..don't limit yourself. Ask people to proofread your writing when you're done and NEVER be shy. Never judge your own writing either. You are the worst judge for your own writing. As you begin to read more, you will develop a more structured vocabulary and the creative writing classes you take (if you will..) will help strenghthen you while you grow as a writer. Also, try speaking more to people. This will help influence your speech. Listen to different music to get ideas/emotions...to influence your writing. Try poetry for a change. Make up similes..observe the world around you. Start with a children's story..then gradually move on to more complicated things. Never EVER think of yourself as a pro. Even when you are. Because when you stop trying to improve, you'll never get any better at it. Have confidence in your writing, but don't be cocky.
If you need any help, please feel free to ask me. I'm going to (hopefully) become a writer as well :)
