Does getting teeth pulled hurt? I'm 14 and getting braces and I need to get 2 bicuspids pulled. Does getting them pulled hurt? I had 6 baby teeth pulled when I was 8 or 9, and they gave me laughing gas and some other stuff and I didn't feel anything. But is it different for adult teeth? How long will they hurt after I get them pulled?

i had to do the same exact thing as you, don't worry it's not that bad. the only thing that i was afraid of was the needle because i am terrified of needles, but that wasn't that bad, i just said the abc's in my head over and over again and gripped onto the handles on the chair. after the needle, you don't feel a thing. after the numbness wears off you might feel some pain, just take motrin or tylenol.
don't worry everything will be fine, i went through it. hope that helped (: ]
It should be very similar to when you had baby teeth pulled. I've had adult teeth pulled too and they did the exact same thing- laughing gas, and then I didn't feel bad or anything afterward. I believe a columnist below me was talking about getting wisdom teeth pulled, which is not the same thing- so don't freak out. Pulling wisdom teeth is more of a surgery type of deal. You don't have anything to worry about- I doubt it will hurt more than a few hours. ]
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled about a year and a half ago.
If you eat lots of cold stuff afterwards (like nonstop...literally) then you probably won't swell much.
Mine didn't really hurt because of the cold stuff and Tylenol with Codeine that they gave me, but everyone's pain tolerance is different. ]
ok well i got some of my adult teeth pull about a couple of months ago and they used some numbing stuff and you wont even know that they pulled your tooth its pretty simple don't worry about it. Hope all goes well! ]
