motivation

Question Posted Friday June 6 2008, 2:30 pm

Okay so I'm motivated, because I really want to shape up my body, but like I'm not motivated enough to actually work out everyday. I'm getting kinda lazy, SO how do i change that? How do I get into a routine?

thanks for you help!

When it comes down to it, if you aren't motivated to work out everyday, you TRULY don't want to shape up your body. In order to have that want, you must crave working out on a daily schedule. A good way to think about it is by looking into the future and visualizing how happy you will be, and how great you will feel once you finally achieve the results you are looking for. When it comes to working out though, some are simply turned away because they just don't know what they like to do. How can you find out what you like to do? Experiment! Try running, hitting a punching bag, lifting weights, etc. until you find out what you really enjoy doing. Experimenting with working out won't hurt, and it can be very progressive. You just simply have to desire the results in order to lose the weight, which can be very tough. Trust me, you can overcome it, just give it some time! Wish you best of luck! Dave :]

i think you should join a sport.
soccer's my fav
in soccer:
you have to do alot of running
after a few practices,
if you run your hardest, you'll actually feel energized after running.
that energy and getting into shape will make you want to get off your couch and jump around.. lol.
plus, if you're on a team, not only would it be fun, you will be motivated to do your best for your team/and yourself.
but, soccer season hasn't started, so try a camp,
and you can get exercised in any sport, soccer is just my idea :D

also you could do some cardio, that works all your muscles. buy some exercise tapes or if you have on demand, they have some free exersice videos there. do about 10-20 minutes a day, and you'll see results in about a week. it might motivate you more if you exercised with a friend or found a fun way to do it, like get into it, lol.
as for routine, you could pick a specific time of day to do nothing else but exercise.
and you could reward yourself at the end of the week if you stuck to your schedule and made progress.
oh and, if you take a break during the day, like to watch tv, try to change that break into doing something less mindless, instead try loading the dishwasher or something that won't get you in a lazy mood.
