when you block someone on msn what exactly happends?
like does the person not see you online anymore, or sees you but you cant really talk to the person and he doesnt get your messages?
The second that person "A" hits the block button they immediately "appear offline" for person "B". Other people can still see person "A" and if person "B" has another account on the person's MSN messenger list then they are able to log into it and see if person "A" is still actually logged in.
Person "B" is not informed that he/she has been blocked. They may just think that person "A" randomly got offline quickly. MSN messenger does not say that they have actually been blocked and will not longer be able to communicate with person "A".
While person "B" is blocked they may still send "offline" messages to person "A"; however, person "A" will never receive these messages. The messages are simply discarded by the server and person "B" is never informed that they were not actually sent.
Also, as another note, person "B" is still fully able to email person "A" while they are blocked on the messenger. They simply cannot start an online-text-conversation anymore with person "A".
Person "B" will remain blocked on the messenger list for person "A" until person "A" decides to unblock him/her. There is no way of changing this unless person "B" knew the password to the account of person "A" and went in and changed it.
When person "A" unblocks person "B" then person "B" can view when person "A" is online again. Person "B" will then be allowed to send true "offline" messages to person "A" and will be able to effectively communicate again.
