What most people don't know is that despite how many situps, crunches, leg lifts, etc... you do, you still might not get toned abs if you don't run.
Running is probably the most effective way to cut body fat on the lower portion of your abs. If you mix in stuff like bicycle situps and leg lifts with them, you'll get toned abs. [ ElJackass's advice column | Ask ElJackass A Question ]
Alyshashi answered Tuesday June 3 2008, 8:14 pm: My stomach is uber tight and I doing standing stomach cruches. However, I also reccomend leg lifts. They are simple:
1.) Lay down on the floor your back on floor.
2.)Pull your feet together
3.)Lift both of your feet up with them still together. (You may lay your arms on the floor for support)
4.)Slowly bring legs down.
Do about 150-300 each morning and then the same amount that night.
jessicac answered Monday June 2 2008, 8:13 pm: well you could always try standing crunches, you feel the burn if you do them right.
basically you stand and raise your right leg and bring it into your chest and like curl down, if that makes sense?
so it's like a crunch but your standing, so there's not as much strain on your neck and back.
also i know you didn't want crunches, but if you go to youtube and search for 8 minute abs, they work and you really feel the burn.
hope it works. [ jessicac's advice column | Ask jessicac A Question ]
