i really need help.
i am 16.. about 5 foot, 4 inches..and about 120 lbs.
i woke up this morning and felt and looked really fat. i work out everyday. i run about 2 miles, do uphill bicycling for about 20 minutes, some weight lifting, and different ab exercises. i drink alot of water, take apple cider vinegar tablets, and ive been cutting back on my food intake. im pretty sure i eat less than 2,000 calories a day. im pretty toned until my belly button. i STILL have extra fat around my lower abdomen, hips, thighs, butt.
i don't understand what i am doing wrong.
i confess to sugar cravings though
if im up late at night and craving, i will eat a bowl of frozen yogurt or sherbet.
can you give me some dieting tips or an good example of a good food regimen for a few days?
and also some healthy alternative snack when i feel like snacking or am just craving?
please only reply if you really want to help. please don't tell me i am alright how i am because when i feel fat, its all i could really think about and it haunts me. thanks (link)

What you're doing wrong is that your exercising too much and eating too little. You may feel too fat but you're not. You're probably just right. If anything you're too skinny because that workout you do should be eating away vital body tissue because you are getting enough calories to supplement your exercise.
Do you think that you may think you're too fat because of social pressures or because you're on the way to a disease such as anorexia?
By the way, I know what I said isn't something you want to hear, but it's something you need to hear.

The unfortunate thing about a friend suffering from anorexia is that you are almost powerless to help her. There's nothing that you can say or do that can make her eat again.
The only thing you can do, and I would do this right away if you want to save her life, is to tell a responsible adult such as a teacher, counselor, or parent about what is going on. If she doesn't eat soon she will die.

my friend drank half a water bottle filled with sprite, sky vodka, and some blue rasberry stuff. she said she was super drunk, trippin all over the place, and she said she threw up 3 times. and apparently the next day she had a reallyyyy bad hangover. i cant understand how this is possible...like getting that drunk n stuff just off what she drank. it was her first time, but my first time i took 5 shots of like hard liquor and chugged 2 beers, and didnt throw up, or get a hangover, or anything. why is there such a difference? She could've drank more than she realized. But it could also be genetic. An Irish girl should be able to drink twice as much as an asian girl the same size.

Im not extremly thin, nor am I as thin as I want to be, but latly a lot of people around me have been saying things about how I need to eat more and my mom and sister keep brining up that they think I am anorexic. I do not think I am anorexic Im about 5'6" an weigh about 125 and I want to weigh about 110. But they keep complaining because when we go out to grab a fast lunch say we go to subway I only eat about half of a 6in sub and that is all I eat until dinner, but I really do not think I am anorexic plus people keep saying to me that I am working out to much, I run 2 miles in the morning and go to the gym after work for about an hour to an hour and a half is there anything wrong with being fit? I guess what I am asking is honestly do I sound anorexic? and how can I get people to stop saying things about them thinking I have an eating disorder because I dont? Sorry its kind of long. (link)

Anorexia is a mental disease. You won't get it unless there is something wrong with your emotional state of being. But your post has the subtle message of "i am insecure" all over it.
Ask yourself why do you want to be 110? If you hit 110, would you want to be 100?
What's wrong with 125? Why do you eat so little and exercise so much?
If you consume less calories than your burn your body will consume your muscle, bone, and even brain tissue to keep itself nourished. But of course scary facts don't scare you if you're on the way to an eating disorder.

SO, how bad do you think the economy is really going to get? I see gas prices soaring, my rent was just raised AGAIN, we have lost two contract accounts at work, and it seems like people are generally broke. In your opinion, how bad can it get before it gets better, should I be saving every penny? thanks (link)

As bad as the early 80's or late 70's. I don't think it'll be as bad as the Great Depression, the housing crisis isn't as bad as the stock market crash and there are still several parts of the economy that are still thriving.

ok so i was at a party that got busted and I ran away, the thing is they have a list of everyone who was there, is it against any rules/laws to run away from cops at a party? will i get in any trouble? btw im 16 years old (link)

It's only illegal if you get caught. If you were at a party and you ran away and the cops didn't catch you, then you are safe.

I've had a depression problem for years, I'm on and off my medication and when I don't take my medication I sleep late, stay up all night, I'm in a bitchy mood and I can't do anything I love to do. When I'm on my medication I'm okay but I still have my up and downs.

If your depression stems from a traumatic experience, then go to therapy.
But if it's genetic, set a difficult but achievable goal and pursue it. Don't waste time by feeling sorry for yourself. The most important thing you can do is be productive.

I'm going to assume you want toned abs.
What most people don't know is that despite how many situps, crunches, leg lifts, etc... you do, you still might not get toned abs if you don't run.
Running is probably the most effective way to cut body fat on the lower portion of your abs. If you mix in stuff like bicycle situps and leg lifts with them, you'll get toned abs.

Tell your loved one that despite how much you love him/her, you're going to kill yourself because you love your sorrow more.
Tell your loved that despite there is always another possibility of escape, your love for him/her isn't strong enough to motivate you to take the real way out.
Say you can't go on. Say how selfish you are. It's all been done before. Challenge yourself. If you really want to kill yourself, then keep living.
Real love should be a strong enough factor to prevent you from killing yourself for the sake of a loved one.

I'm still in high school, but I know I get straight A's in honors classes, study hard and am FASCINATED by science. Particularly the human body and how it works. I was thinking about what I'd want as a career, and nothing else comes to mind other than medicine.
ANYWAY...for those who know what med school is like, is it really as hard as i have read in articles? Long hours studying, constant stress? I'm a hard worker and a competitive student, but stress overwhelms me. Is med school REALLY that hard? (link)

It's hard, you won't sleep some nights, and you will be stressed.
However, what the articles fail to tell you is how much fun it can also be. Your first four years of college should be a great experience (assuming you go to a four year university and live on campus)
Also, if you're pursuing a medical career out of passion, then you should enjoy what you are learning amongst all the stress, coffee, and all nighters.

My husband is 29, his sister is my age 21. They have, in my opinion, the most inappropriate relationship ever. She'll come and just sit in his lap and cuddle up with him. Or if shes sitting on the couch he will sorta attack her in a huge bear hug and end up on top of her. Once he was eating dessert and she came and sat on his lap and he started to feed her from his dessert. He didn't even think to offer me until after she had already eaten from his spoon. I don't know what all of you think, but I find this utterly disgusting...its weird, gross, and just plain wrong!
I talked to him about it, and he felt that I was being ridiculous and said that I have intimacy issues because in my family we are not all over each other. yaa we give hugs and stuff..but wrestling with each other on the couch and sitting on laps, and feeding each other...thats just weird. He was like, she is my sister! I told him, "EXACTLY! she's your sister...thats why I have such a problem with this". I even told him that I dont want her sitting on his lap any more..shes not a small child and its not cute when she comes and sits on his lap. He had the nerve to tell me he'll think about it...not okay I understand this is bothering you and I'll stop... he's just going to think about it. How wonderful..
I know no one can really do anything about this, but I guess I just need to see what others think about this. Is it just me or is it weird for siblings to treat each other the same way they would treat their significant others; minus the kissing on the lips and sex?

It is a little abnormal but it's not incest.
I think you'd have to know more about their family history before judging their behaviors.
Did he take care of her a lot when they were growing up? Was their trauma in the family and she looked up to him for support?

Well this is a tricky subject. If you really are 'emo," then you're really a comformist tool of another sub-culture. And your specific sub culture, in your case, the emo culture, changes over time. What is an emo haircut today may not be emo tommorow. For example, the emo trend-setters such Davey Havok or Gerard Way may change their haircuts tommorow and your haircut will be obsolete.
The current "emo" hairstyle has been around too long. Blatantly dyed straight hair covering 3/4s the face while coming down at a 45 degree angle is now a cliche. It's only a matter of time before they come out with a new one. What you want to do is predict what the next "emo" hairstyle will be and do it before them. Of course, you're probably asking why shouldn't you just do what's emo now and change it when they change it? The answer to that is simple. YOU want to be be one the architects for the new hairstyle and you obviously want to be the first to have it (which is essential if you're a conformist tool).
Now predicting the new style won't be easy but it's also not impossible. I've done some research amongst the leaders of the emo sub-culture and have noticed an interesting pattern that, when analyzed, can reveal what the next emo hairstyle will be. If you look at AFI's latest album, December Underground, you should notice that there is the underlying themes of the frost of winter and coldness in general. Being cold is very emo these days. Now, hair keeps you warm, which is contradictory to the emo theme of coldness. Therefore, we can conclude that the next emo hairstyle will be skinhead. I recommend you immediately shave off all your hair because that will definitely be the new style. Of course, emo will always be glamorous and decorative so you might want to customize your newly shaved head. Cutting is very emo and will earn you emo points amongst your emo friends so I recommend that you decorate your head with cutting scars. Engraving the lyrics of your favorite emo songs into your skull may be one of the most emo things you can do. Or get a tatoo of your favorite emo band on your head.
So, if you want to be emo, shave your head and customize. :)
