SO, how bad do you think the economy is really going to get? I see gas prices soaring, my rent was just raised AGAIN, we have lost two contract accounts at work, and it seems like people are generally broke. In your opinion, how bad can it get before it gets better, should I be saving every penny? thanks

As bad as the early 80's or late 70's. I don't think it'll be as bad as the Great Depression, the housing crisis isn't as bad as the stock market crash and there are still several parts of the economy that are still thriving.

I'm not sure it's going to be like the Great Depression, but it's going to get worse before it gets better. I predict that if something doesn't happen soon, there are only going to be two socio-economic classes: the very rich and the very poor. Right now our middle class (normal people) are struggling to even pay the bills. It's going to be bad.
