belly button piercing! I'm 17 years old. How can I convince my mom to let me get it done? I'm a ggood kid never in trouble. I think they're cute! At first she was like suuure. Then she started asking her friends and says "it leads to sex." YEA RITE. Omg. I can't believe she said that! My older brother told her "Well if she wants it, let her get it!" I really want it done! Any suggestions??

thats how my father was hes a whole different story though. but i went behind his back and did it. I know its not the smartest most responsible thing to do but i wanted it done and i did what i needed to. you can get a person over the age of 18+ to go buy a kit at a sally's or hot rags store i think even hot topic sells them but its a do it yourself kit im not promoting it but getting it professionally done is the best way. i had my friend do mine but you can be paralyzed and have massive blood loss if its done wrong. mine was fine thank god but i wouldnt recommend taking that chance. ]
Research. Show her you know what you're doing, by looking at after care, risks, browse through pictures etc.
A great site for body mods is www.bmezine.com
Show her it. Tell her you'll take good care of it and not get bored of it within a few weeks.
Also, explain to her it's not just a phase and it's something you've thought about for a lot of time now.
If you can't bring her round to the idea, just wait until you are 18... it's not that long. and plus, you will truly know if you REALLY want it if you have to wait a bit. :)
Best of luck anyway. ]
well, if you can get her to sit down, let you talk for a certain amount of time (5 minutes), after you have read how they do it, cost, how many people have it, how likley infection is, how to take care of it, ect. your mom is just worried about you. do all that you can to show her you know what your doing. if that doesnt work and you want it really bad then youll want it still in a year when your 18. anyways i hope it works out. ]
Don't bring it up too often, or she'll get annoyed. Talk to her again and it won't hurt to remind her that you are a good kid, get good grades, etc. Offer to pay for half of it. If she won't let you, you have one more year until you can just get it done yourself. haha
