What does subscribe-ing do on youtube? Just wondering. Does it cost money? Just what does it do? Are there any advantages of it? Any disadvantages?

When you subscribe to a user, you get updates on when they add a new video. They show up on your page where it says "Subscriptions". It doesn't cost any money and you can subscribe to as many people as you want. =]]]]]

when you subscribe to a specific person who is uploading videos to youtube, you will get free notifications whenever that person uploads another video to the site..or els whenever that person chooses to send you links to video that interests himher to all the subscribers in the persons list...
It's like subscribing to a magazine, whenever a new video comes out on the channel you subscribe to, you will receive an email or a link to that video when you log in to your account.
this is totally free of charge....

Subscribing is completely free. Its mostly advantages, no disadvantages at all. When you subscribe your one of the first people to know when the artist/user puts more videos on.
