I have a checkup in like three weeks, and a month ago I got my tongue web pierced (Don't comment to criticize or go 'eewww that's disgusting.'' those are automatic 1's) anyway. I'm not getting an X-ray done so that's ok, and when I have an appointment I'm on my own.
But then I'm worried that the dentist will tell my mom about the piercing, and then I'll be completely f***ed! :(
I got it pierced professionally, but my mom just HATES piercings.
So yeah, will the dentist tell, or is it more likely that he'll roll his eyes?
AskKay23 answered Sunday May 18 2008, 2:13 pm: Just remember.. a dentist sees patient after patient every day. Anything a person gets done to their mouth is their business, and it's wouldn't be his right to say anything to your mom.
A dentist sees stuff that this everyday, but if he does mention it at all-- straight up tell him that your mom doesn't know just yet, and if you wanted her to know, then YOU want to be the one to tell her... not the dentist.
