Lay down and use a mirror yes, but whatever you do please use a noncut razor also woman shaving cream really helps.

make sure you're lathered properly. lay down, bring a mirror, have a well lit area, maybe some scissors.
basically, take your time and be careful! everything else is up to you =) Remember that bald isn't necessarily better

lather yourself with soap/bodywash/ or conditioner.
then you use a new blade and shave like it's your legs or under your arms. lightly, no need to rush. but make sure it's a new blade. dull blades are highly more likely to cut you. and shaving wise, is your preference. you can decide how much hair you want left. some girls leave a little. some leave none.
