i need to get my mom a present for mother's day but i have NO IDEA what to get her!!

Make her her favorite desert. (if you're a bad baker, just follow the recipe closely, it really isn't that hard). Get her flowers (if you can) and most definitely a card (preferably make one rather than buy one).
Also, do her chores. Like cleaning, dishes, laundry, etc.

persoanlly i got my mom a gift certificate for her favorite store... i believe it was $30. <3

I say start off with flowers, definetely.
Then, make her something! Get creative, and give her something that's one of a kind and handmade. Decorate a picture frame with a picture of the 2 of you together, make her a book of all the reasons she's the best mom ever, make her a cd with all the songs that remind you of her, something that not everybody else does. =]
